Aat Advanced Diploma Entry Requirements

The technical and general levels applied, although both are professional qualifications, differ in size and purpose. Technology levels are for students who are interested in a particular industry or occupation and help facilitate entry into employment, apprenticeship or graduate studies in a related professional field. Applied generals are smaller in GLH, are aimed at students who wish to continue their studies through applied learning, include a higher proportion of external assessment, and can help students access a range of college courses. To take these exams remotely, you need to make sure that you meet the minimum requirements. If you have reached Level 3, you may be eligible to enter AAT Level 4 or higher level learning, HND and/or a bachelor`s degree. If you opt for Level 4, you can apply for full membership after completing the exams and after proving your key skills and experience. You can then move on to higher accounting qualifications such as ACCA (Associations of Chartered Certified Accountant), ACA (Institute of Chartered Accountants England and Wales) or CIMA (Chartered Institute of Management Accountants). Studying the AAT Advanced Degree allows you to master financial processes including account preparation, advanced accounting, spreadsheets, graduate accounts for sole proprietors and partnerships, costs and revenues, and professional ethics. It prepares you for jobs such as Assistant Accountant, Trainee Accounting Technician, Accounts Clerk, Cashier, Financial Assistant, Purchasing Ledger Clerk and more. You will learn complex accounting techniques, including keeping cost accounting records and creating reports and declarations.

You will master a range of accounting disciplines, including financial processes, advanced accounting, final accounts and ethical practices for accountants. Technical level qualifications are advanced qualifications (level 3) that are mainly completed by students aged 16 to 19 who wish to specialise in a particular industry, occupation or occupational group. They equip students with specialized knowledge and skills. If you meet the registration requirements for this course, please use the Register My Interest or Apply Now buttons or contact part-time admissions on 01743 342333 to arrange registration. If you have not yet decided which course is best for you, please attend one of our consulting events, call part-time admissions on 01743 342 333, use our live chat feature or send an email: [email protected] In this qualification you will master more complex accounting disciplines, including financial processes, advanced accounting, final accounting and ethical practices for accountants. Upon successful completion, an AAT Associate can become an accounting member and obtain professional status from AATOB. HEPs should be cautious when examining professional qualifications for access, see “Key issues for admission to higher education in the UK”. Technical level qualifications differ in size; Some may meet the entry requirements for higher education in a related field, and others may need to be offered in conjunction with other Level 3 qualifications, such as Levels A. In addition, some graduate programs may require certain levels of achievement in certain units or require additional qualifications to meet specialized knowledge requirements. For more information on technical level qualifications and the range of qualifications that meet these requirements, please visit the DfE website.

These are the minimum requirements set by the Ministry of Education. Technical levels are rigorous advanced technical qualifications (level 3) that correspond to levels A and are recognised by employers. They are aimed at students aged 16 and over who wish to specialise in a specific industry or prepare for a specific job. They cover jobs and careers where employers hire people at this level or where a Level 3 qualification is required before students can move on to a related college course. Technological levels give students the opportunity to develop expertise and skills to help them get an education or job, for example in engineering, computer science, accounting or professional cooking, or to obtain a higher qualification. In some cases, a technical level qualification is a “licence to practise” or may exempt someone who holds the qualification from a professional examination. Technological levels are recognized by professional or professional associations or by at least five employers. Alternatively, the qualification may be accepted by an approved national professional registration system. This qualification meets all the requirements for reformed technological levels, which must meet all qualifications to be included in the 2018 performance tables. Preliminary results of computer-labelled assessments will be made available to training providers immediately after the completion of the assessment and will be confirmed within one week. In addition, you will need at least one of the following options: most students complete this level within nine to 15 months, but this will vary depending on the method of study you choose and whether you complete your studies as part of an education, in which case you will not be able to complete it in less than 12 months. Unit prices may vary depending on the learning method, location and time you choose to study (if you choose the classroom).

Check out our study methods to learn more about each option. Unit assessments may be scheduled on request throughout the year, except in the periods set and communicated by AAT. On-demand and distance learning fees must be reimbursed over a period of three months per subject purchased up to a maximum of 12 months. Unit grades and overall qualification are rated Failure/Achievement/Merit/Distinction.
